In the return of a popular NESACS tradition, NESACS members, and friends of NESACS are invited to Fenway Park on Friday, May 10^th to watch the Red Sox play the Toronto Blue Jays. Our right field grandstand seats are priced at $35 and include handling charges. These tickets will go fast! Reserve your seats by mailing your check (payable to NESACS) to Anna Singer, 12 Corcoran Road, Burlington, MA 01803. Questions (but not reservations) may be sent to secretary@nesacs.org.

Science By The Pint

The Younger Chemists Committee will attend the monthly Science by the Pint events and we have a table in the back room of the Burren (located at the Davis Square T-stop). Visiting scientists and their graduate students visit each table, giving us a great opportunity to not only meet other YCC members, but meet scientists in different disciplines as well, expanding your network while learning about the “hottest scientific” topics from those doing the research!

Pizza and Bowling

The NSYCC will be holding a Pizza + Bowling social event on December 10th at Flatbread Pizza Somerville.

Full Food Buffet will be served from 7-8pm and Bowling on 5 lanes from 8-10pm. Alcoholic drink tickets will be handed out, and there will be door prizes at the event!

2012-2013 NSYCC Executive Board Nominations

We are seeking nominations for all positions on the NSYCC Board. Serving your local ACS chapter as a member of the NSYCC board is a fun and rewarding way to network. There is also the opportunity to plan exciting social and professional events for younger chemists in the New England area. I would encourage anyone looking for local career opportunities to consider nominating themselves or others for a position. The office descriptions are provided here.

Please email Heidi.Teng@nsycc.org with nominations. Nominations should be received by Tuesday Oct 23rd, 2012. Nominees will be notified by Wednesday Oct 24th and online elections will begin Oct 26th.
